What do I do if I get a padlock on my reserved readings?

If you get a padlock error, please check the following:

  • Are you using the latest version of Chrome and is it up-to-date?
  • Are your third party cookies enabled?
  • Clear your cache and cookies for "all time" and restart your browser. You may also need to restart your computer.
  • Are you using a work computer? Most employers have rigorous internet security restrictions which can block database access. Contact your workplace IT department for assistance.
  • Do you have a security program (such as a firewall, antivirus, or anti-spyware program) that can block JavaScript?
  • Check the library home page for any alerts about database outages.
