ACE Library FAQ: Answer

In the United States, your work is copyrighted as soon as it becomes available. However, you may wish to register your work with the U.S. Copyright Office at the Library of Congress for additional legal protection. You may register for copyright on your own, or, if you are also publishing with ProQuest, you can register for copyright through ProQuest ETD.
